The chorus, "I'll take you Kathleen/To your home and mine," is from the Irish folk song "I'll Take You Home Again Kathleen."

On the Irish inspiration in her first songs:
"I don't know if I could say that it was the actual extremes of Irish music that appealed to me, because I never thought about that at the time. I just used to enjoy playing it because of the melodies."
