TAPER'S NOTES
Polly played a one off solo gig in Manchester, which included songs from her new cd due in September, White Chalk. A nice mix of her more reflective material and louder songs.
The show is similar in feel to last year's Hay concert and the sound quality is pretty good if I say so myself - if you are familiar with my recording of that show, then this may be even better. There is some noise at the start of track 8 - it came from the stage as Polly moved her drum machine about. I put all the applause before the encores as one track if you want to cut that out. It all comes in at just over 71 minutes.
Some clown brought in an air horn (why?!?) but apparently was invited to leave by security. Who thinks that we all went there to listen to them toot away on the blasted thing!
